Hecate is an ancient Greek goddess of night and the underworld, overseeing the crossing of thresholds and the blurring of boundaries, straddling planes. She is often depicted with snakes. The Hecate series of cyanotypes all use an authentic intact snakeskin shed gathered beside the river with some beautiful friends who have taught me so much about shedding Selves. I hope these prints invite you to do the same.
